Marine LED Lights Safely Light Up Your Garden Pond Or Waterfall, And Your Pool
Sometimes a breakthrough in light generating efficiency will enable applications that would otherwise be highly impractical and would never find their way to the marketplace. Underwater LED Lights is one such marvelous example. Not only are LED lights a power saver, but they are also space saver. Indeed, a powerful light source, yet cold to the touch, can be installed in a minimal amount of space. As long as one provides for sturdy wire connections between the LEDs, and as long as minimal heat sinks are installed, LED lights can be arranged into luminous yet flexible strings.
Waterproof LED lights have found their use in many outdoor applications such as for automotive LED lights, LED trailer lights and LED headlights,LED bicycle headlights, LED Boat Lights, and indoor applications, such as for aquarium LED lights. For outside landscaping purposes, just about any LED light needs to be designed water resistant, and for decorating or lighting the pools, or for deep-dive flash lights, LED lights must be made waterproof.
Making sure that a light that is in constant contact with water, or even submersed in the water, is still safe for operation is a big challenge, as water conducts electricity and making a high-voltage short circuit through water due to malfunction, or a cut, can be deadly for anyone finding themselves in the water at the moment. This is especially true for high-voltage electricity that is required for lighting the standard incandescent lights and common fluorescent lights. These lights often require full 110V voltage to operate properly.
That is where the high efficiency of waterproof LED lights and underwater LED lights comes into play. Because of their high efficiency, and solid state design, they produce significant light output even without using the dangerous 110V electric power, but instead using low power, safer, 12V electricity, or are even just low-voltage, solar-powered or battery-powered lights.
So now you know how not only are LED lights a power saver, but they are also space saver. Indeed, a powerful light source, yet cold to the touch, can be installed in a minimal amount of space. As long as one provides for sturdy wire connections between the LEDs, and as long as minimal heat sinks are installed, LED lights can be arranged into luminous yet flexible strings.
